Detail drawing design of steel structure is the design stage after construction drawing design of steel structure. According to the layout of components, section and internal force of components, main node structure and various relevant data and technical requirements provided by the construction drawings, the detailed drawing designers shall strictly comply with the "Code for Design of Steel Structures" (GB50017-2017), "Code for Acceptance of Construction Quality of Steel Structures" (GB50205-2020) and the provisions of relevant drawings and specifications. The construction of the components should be perfected. And according to the principle of the manufacturing plant's production conditions and the site construction conditions, considering the transportation requirements, lifting capacity and installation conditions, determine the component segment. Finally, the use of steel structure drawing software, the overall form of components, components of the size and requirements, and parts of the connection between the method, detailed performance in the drawings, so that manufacturing and installation personnel through the drawings, clearly understand the design intention and requirements.

Detailed drawings of steel structure are the technical documents that guide the manufacturing and installation of steel structure members, as well as the basis for budgeting construction drawings and archiving data after completion of the project.

The contents of steel structure construction detail drawing include: drawing catalogue, general description of construction detail drawing, anchor bolt layout drawing, component layout drawing and component detail drawing. It also includes: drawing list, component list, parts list, bolt list, material purchase list and other list forms.
